Click Creative’s copywriter Siobhan Stirling to run the London Marathon
Click Creative’s copywriting and public relations expert Siobhan Stirling is currently clocking up the miles training for the London Marathon on 26 April.
She is hoping to raise £2,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society through her efforts.
A fair weather runner, Siobhan set herself the public goal of running the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon last year to stop her giving up at the first opportunity. She kept her training up through all the rain we had last winter and managed the half marathon (her first) in under two hours, raising more than £1,200 for the MS Society: “I was delighted with the amount of money I managed to raise, but I thought if I was going to ask people to sponsor me again, it would have to be a bigger goal. There’s really only one obvious goal after a half marathon, and that’s to do the full marathon.”
Siobhan has chosen the MS Society as some close friends have the condition: “It affects more than 100,000 people in the UK and can be very debilitating, but it doesn’t get the coverage or support of other causes. The MS Society does fabulous work funding research and providing support for people living with the condition – it’s a fantastic cause and I am delighted to be able to support it in this way.”
